Growers Nation - planting the seeds locally for a more sustainable future

The Growers Nation app enables you to discover which fruits, vegetables and other crops will grow well in your area, and when best to sow, plant and harvest them. You can also connect with other local growers to learn useful growing tips and share your knowledge.

The app uses a combination of openly accessible data (e.g. temperature, precipitation, elevation, slope, soil, etc.) made available through GEO (Group on Earth Observations) to link your location to the types of crops that will grow in your area. It also uses your location to connect you to people both locally and with similar sets of growing conditions around the world.

• Illustrations of when to sow, plant out and harvest your crops
• Connects you with other growers in your neighborhood or in similar growing environments around the world
• Collects growing and harvesting behavior from the users
